Olga Nikolaevna Hildebrandt-Arbenina (1897/98–1980) until recently was known as the muse and lover of N. Gumilyov and O. Mandelstam, as the addressee of poetic dedications of poets of the Silver Age... However, “La Sylphide”, “Psyche”, “ quiet charmer of the northern capital,” a beauty, an actress whom Gumilyov called “the child king,” was, first of all, an extremely interesting artist. The literary heritage of Olga Hildebrandt is collected for the first time under the cover of this book. These are memories of “theatrical” ancestors, of family, childhood and youth, of artists and, finally, of the literary and artistic environment of St. Petersburg-Petrograd in the second half of the 1910s - early 1920s and its famous representatives: Gumilyov, Mandelstam, Blok , Kuzmin, Meyerhold, Yurkun, Glebova-Sudeikina, about the Kannegiser house... Some of the texts are published for the first time. The content of the book is complemented by rich illustrative material, including not only portraits and photographs of the heroes of the memoirs, but also reproductions of watercolors by Olga Hildebrandt.
