Автор вдало поєднав дух Джейн Остен з сучасними ідеями фемінізму та незалежності, що робить цю історію актуальною навіть у наш час. Мері Беннет, яка раніше залишалася в тіні своїх сестер, отримує шанс стати головною героїнею, і її шлях до самостійності та самовизначення вражає. Я була в захваті від того, як автор вдало передав характер Мері, її боротьбу за права жінок і прагнення знайти своє місце в суспільстві. Продовження "Гордість і упередження" виявилося не лише даниною поваги до класики, але й свіжим поглядом на теми, які залишаються актуальними й сьогодні. Рекомендую цю книгу всім шанувальникам Остен і тим, хто цінує сильні жіночі образи в літературі!
