Mati, the son of the last Queen of the Tiger Cats, escapes from his enemies on a ship and finds refuge in England, in the market near Cressida Lock. He defeats a mysterious killer named Mythos the Destroyer, but the Suzerain does not give up trying to destroy the heir to the ancient Abyssinian throne - he summons a phantom from the world of spirits and sends him to destroy Mati.
