Dystopia (and here, reader, is a typical representative of this popular genre) is a work of fiction that describes a fantasy world in which negative development trends have prevailed. This does not prevent the author from saying that his fiction is “copied from life.” Because readers can easily recognize themselves in lovers Kirochka and Zhenya; they will certainly remember the endless television shows that replace real life for people; will restore in memory the names and faces of crazy dictators who imagined themselves to be gods and miracle workers. There is and never will be a greater miracle in the world than the closeness of kindred spirits, the happiness of understanding and faith in selfless love. The author managed to convey this important idea to the reader, although the heroes of the novel have to go through the circles of real hell for the sake of such understanding. The ending of the novel is open, but it is open to the future, in which there is a glimmer of hope.
