On Earth, burned by wars hundreds of years ago, life remained only on one peninsula, divided in two by a mountain range. On opposite sides of the mountain range, two states - the Republic of Kant and Demirugia - are waging an irreconcilable war. In totalitarian Demirugia, like many others, the young underground worker Lemor Sviryagin is arrested.
