When raising sons and daughters, parents often look at children through the prism of their biological sex, forgetting about their individuality. Proponents of the gender role approach believe that men and women should fulfill male and female roles in accordance with the traditional model, regardless of their desires and inclinations. But there is another approach - gender, in which the person, and not his biological sex, is at the forefront. The author of the book is a proponent of this approach.
