An allegorical story about city residents who decided to help the authorities uproot an old apple orchard. To this end, city residents, as if participating in the Flash Mob, bought shovels en masse, and some sold them. “One city dweller and the owner of a small trading shop in the market, who throughout his merchant life was looking for a product thanks to which he could one day share the secret of a successful business with wealthy children at a festive family table, sold everything and bought shovels. His faith in the new face of the goddess of luck lay on his face with a wide, never-ending smile, which he easily dug up with the next sold shovel.” The story is filled with elements of history, satire, irony and “dark humor.”
