Private detective Igor Gladyshev goes on vacation to Egypt. One night he overhears a conversation between a Russian tourist, Pogrebnov, and one of the locals. The Russian offered the Egyptian a very valuable rarity for one million dollars. The next day, Pogrebnov is found murdered, and a gang of a certain Aziz breaks into the hotel. The terrorists claim that Pogrebnov deceived the religious community by selling them a counterfeit rarity and demand a million back. The private detective understands that Aziz’s bandits will not leave any of the tourists alive until they get their money back.
