The textbook presents the international classification of clouds adopted by the World Meteorological Organization. Rich illustrative material is accompanied by a description of the morphological features of clouds, their most important physical characteristics and associated precipitation and phenomena. The connection between cloud systems and atmospheric processes on a synoptic scale is shown.
