Inventor Alex Sazonov meets a beautiful girl on the beach who unexpectedly dies. Out of frustration, he goes abroad, where he falls into the networks of a secret organization that is engaged in prohibited scientific research. After all sorts of adventures, the main character finds himself on board a warship, where a secret laboratory is located and scientists from all over the world are gathered. He manages to escape from the missile cruiser in a very unusual way. While in London, he witnesses an atomic bombing that destroys the city, but thanks to the qualities he acquired in a secret laboratory, he remains alive. All of humanity perished in the fires of Armageddon, but a new civilization of neohumans is reborn from the ashes. However, this civilization seems to be even more miserable than the former human society...
