Pshenichnikov Viktor Lukyanovich is from that generation whose destinies were scorched by war from a young age. He was born in the Urals and raised in an orphanage. He first began writing in the army, when he served in Transbaikalia, and the heroes of these stories were soldiers, his peers. After serving in the Soviet Army, V. L. Pshenichnikov studied at the Literary Institute. A. M. Gorky and at the same time worked in the magazine “Border Guard”. From then on, his fate was firmly connected with the border. His first story about soldiers in green caps - “Where Men Live” - was published in 1976 in the Library of the magazine “Border Guard” and was warmly received by readers and received critical approval. V. L.
