Tom Rose is the not-so-successful director of a tiny provincial theater and a devoted single father. Many years ago, Tom's wife left him with their little daughter Hannah, who was diagnosed with severe heart disease. The girl is constantly on the verge between life and death. And now every year on Hannah’s birthday, Tom and his troupe stage a special performance for her. Tom wants to make every moment magical for his daughter. These days of miracles, as he calls them, instill in a sick child faith in miracles and hope for recovery. Hannah will soon turn sixteen, and her father’s overprotectiveness begins to weigh on her, the girl wants to spread her wings, and now the theater is under threat of closure. Hannah and Tom have to learn a new way of life. But maybe - just maybe - one last day of magic will save them both...
