In May 2009, 89-year-old Cleveland auto worker Ivan Demjanjuk was deported from the United States to Germany, where he was arrested and charged with being an accessory to murder in at least 27,900 counts. These massacres allegedly took place at the Sobibor "extermination camp" in eastern Poland. According to Orthodox historiography, between 1942 and 1943, between 170,000 and 250,000 Jews were exterminated in the so-called "gas chambers" of the camp. The corpses were allegedly buried in mass graves and then burned at the stake. Holocaust theorists claim that Sobibor, along with Belzec and Treblinka, was one of three “extermination camps” in eastern Poland in which a total of at least one and a half million Jews were killed by engine exhaust fumes. But these serious accusations do not really stand up to scrutiny. In the book “Sobibor. Myth and Reality”, the official version of the events that took place in Sobibor, is examined literally under a microscope. The main part of the book is devoted to the study of the evidence base for the alleged massacres of Jews in Sobibor. It is shown that the historiography of the camp is based not on hard evidence, but on the selective use of eyewitness testimony, which in turn is replete with contradictions and outright absurdities. For more than half a century, the main historians of the Holocaust have not made a single real attempt to collect material evidence of their claims about Sobibor and Only in the 21st century did professional historians conduct archaeological research on the site of the former camp. Their results - and the conclusions of many others - are discussed in detail in this book, ultimately establishing facts that will have fatal consequences for the existing theory of the “death camp”. The work also analyzes in detail the flagrant violations of laws committed by the German and earlier American justice during the persecution Ivan Demjanjuk. Book “Sobibor. Myth and Reality" will help rehabilitate this elderly man. In 2002, Carlo Mattogno and Jürgen Graf wrote a detailed non-fiction book about Treblinka, and in 2004 Mattogno wrote a book about the Belzec camp. But until now, not a single revisionist study has been carried out regarding Sobibor. The purpose of this book is to fill this gap. In June 2009, Carlo Mattogno and Jürgen Graf managed to involve the Swedish scientist Thomas Kues in the work - the only revisionist until now who seriously studied Sobibor and published many substantive articles on this issue.
