Dreams, called by some the language forgotten by God, and by others - “messages of the devil,” have long been considered harbingers of the future. But the modern understanding of dreams, in close connection with the personal psychology of the dreamer, with his attitudes and behavioral stereotypes, owes much to the innovative work of the Swiss psychologist, psychiatrist and thinker Carl Gustav Jung, who showed that the unconscious psyche of a person comes to life in dreams. This work represents a comprehensive theoretical and a practical guide to understanding dreams in the light of the basic principles and principles of analytical psychology. Jung's model of the mind is discussed and described. Various clinical examples of dreams and ways of interpreting them in the context of the dreamer's daily life are given. Particular attention is paid to common and recurring dream motifs (falling, persecution, houses, cars, mourning, the end of the world, death, marriage, sexual images, etc.). d.). Traumatic dreams, the compensatory and goal-setting functions of dreams, dreams as a harbinger of illness or physical changes, and also how dreams are related to the age stages of a person’s life and the process of his individualization are considered separately.
