The author of the book, Lyubov Yakovlevna Krasnikova-Aksyonova, is a designer, technologist, developer of a universal method of cutting clothes for children and adults (Russian Know-how, patent No. 2044510). LUBAKS is a systematic approach to analyzing the characteristics of figures and styles, designing, modeling and storing a data bank of all known patterns using standardized parameters. The elimination of numerous traditionally used body measurements using standardized parameters, a real possibility of an individual approach when creating patterns for the production of exclusive clothing. A practical guide and reference book for everyone who likes to create clothes with their own hands for themselves and loved ones, and to be independent of the whims of fashion. This manual takes into account the recommendations and wishes of the author’s colleagues and students living in regions of Russia, the CIS countries and abroad. This book is an integral part of the training program at the author's school of fashion design "LUBAKS" in the specialty "Costume Design". The school "LUBAKS" is a non-state educational institution. The school excludes the lecture part of classes. A lot of time is devoted to practical exercises. During the learning process, students of the author's school use video materials with cutting and sewing of folk and historical costumes, hats and shoe elements made by the hands of graduates. The CD and DVD discs present the best student abstracts on color science, special drawing, basics of graphic and plastic design, architectonics, shape transformation and prototyping, costume finishing and materials science. The training program at the LUBAX school lasts two and a half years. Everyone is welcome, starting from 14 years old. Graduates of the school work in different parts of the world. More than 33 people are members of the International Association "Union of Designers". Simplifying the process is not easy, and this book is not a definitive or all-encompassing publication. As Kozma Prutkov said: “You cannot embrace the immensity!” Starting from 2007, patterns and sewing of various products are planned to be published on the pages of LUBAKS calendars.
