Yakov Shekhter's novels, novels and stories are published in Israel, the USA, Canada, Russia and, of course, in Odessa. The writer has published 16 books, his works have been translated into Hebrew, English, and French. Ya. Shekhter is a winner of the Yuri Nagibin Prize, awarded by the Israeli Writers' Union for the best prose book of 2009, he was included in the long list of the “Russian Prize” in 2011.
