The book provides justification for the need to create domestic mine-resistant ships (MMC), the specifics of their design and construction, as well as operational and combat experience for the period 1910-1990. All information is divided into chapters corresponding to the stages of the country’s history, and within the chapters - into successively adopted shipbuilding programs. All ships that have ever sailed under the Russian flag, built at domestic shipyards and abroad by order of the Navy, converted from civilian ships, leased and purchased from allies, captured and received through reparations, and also intended for export are considered. Summary data on the scale of construction of domestic IIMKs is provided and clarifications regarding their history are made.
