Arkady Grigorievich Adamov (July 13, 1920 - June 26, 1991) - Russian Soviet writer of the detective genre. Son of science fiction writer G. Adamov. His story “The Case of the Motleys,” published in 1956, became the first widely known Soviet detective story, thanks to which a revival of the detective genre took place in the country in the 1950s. Based on this book in 1958, director Nikolai Dostal made a film of the same name.  Without exception, all crime novels and stories by the author are read in one breath, since the tension of the plot and the work of the police are described dynamically, reliably and with an adventure twist.
