The Country of the South Wind is eight islands spread out in the ocean in the shape of a huge star. Gifted people and demians live here - sorcerers, once in a lifetime, when they come of age, they create a living doll for themselves. A doll cannot outlive its creator - everyone knows this. Why then does little Letty, who unexpectedly appeared at the young forester’s house, stubbornly insist that her mistress is dead?
