McCloud's people gathered in the streets, mouths agape. He heard McCloud scream, writhing in pain, as Andronicus rode through the streets, exposing the king in his own city. Andronicus beamed. The faces of these people were distorted with fear. Here was their former king, who had become the lowest of the slaves. It was one of the best days in the memory of Andronicus...”

Вражаюча епопея про владу та зраду!
Книга "Обітниця Слави" вражає своєю глибиною та емоційною напругою. Автор майстерно створює картину королівства МакКлауда, де на фоні величі та слави розгортаються драми, які змушують читача замислитися над природою влади та людських відносин. Сюжет, що починається з приниження короля, поступово розкриває складні стосунки між персонажами, їхніми амбіціями та бажаннями. Андронікус, як головний антагоніст, викликає одночасно захоплення та відразу, його шлях до влади сповнений інтриг і зрад. Книга не лише розважає, але й змушує задуматися про моральність вчинків героїв. Я б рекомендував цю книгу всім, хто любить епічні історії з глибоким змістом і яскравими персонажами. Вона залишає по собі слід і змушує повертатися до роздумів про прочитане ще довго після останньої сторінки.
