The new book by the famous Siberian writer contains works that combine picturesque images of commercial hunting life and unusual, almost fabulous, plot twists. Particularly noteworthy in this regard is the story “What will the Sun say?”, where the narration is told from the perspective of a hunting dog named Gray. In addition, the book includes a number of novellas and short stories written in the spirit of the Siberian epic, as well as excerpts from taiga diaries telling about fishing experiences in the Yenisei taiga. The heroes of the book are Old Believers, hunters, philosophers and, of course, the root Russian language in its unique Siberian sound and flavor.
