The proposed textbook covers the language and speech material of the program for grades 5–9 of secondary schools and is aimed at training, consolidating and applying lexical and grammatical skills in oral and written form. An accompanying task is the implementation of various forms of current and final control: training testing, translation, monologue and dialogic statements on the topic, written communication and lexical and grammatical tests in the USE format. The manual consists of 17 chapters, which study verbs and their tense forms, declension of nouns and adjectives, pronouns, prepositions, numerals, passive voice, compound and complex sentences.Each grammatical phenomenon is worked out using active and passive vocabulary.At the end of each chapter are texts for reading and further retelling.
