Georg F. Born (his real name is Georg Fühlborn) was born on September 5, 1837 in the German town of Elbthal, into a wealthy burgher family. He studied at a commercial school in Stettin, where his passion for literature began, which led him to writing. In 1866, he moved to Berlin, and after many unsuccessful applications to various publishing houses, luck smiled on him - the novel “Clelia” was accepted for publication and its circulation quickly sold out. Thus began the brilliant literary career of the novelist Georg F. Born. A master of storytelling, he brilliantly masters the art of intrigue in an adventure novel, deftly weaving real facts and events into a fictional plot, and his works feature historical figures who, at the time of publication of the novels, were still alive and ruling in Europe. The writer is rightly called the “German Dumas”. Thanks to the artistic merits of the books and commercial spirit, Bourne managed to accumulate significant capital and in 1894 acquired an estate, where he founded his own publishing house and published a newspaper. Georg Born died on March 11, 1902, having reached the heights of literary fame and surrounded by the honor of his compatriots. Contents: 1.
