Theophylact, Archbishop of Ohrid in the Byzantine province of Bulgaria (second half of the 11th - early 12th centuries) - a major Byzantine theologian. Originally from Fr. Euboea, he served for a long time as a deacon at the church of Hagia Sophia in Constantinople and as a rhetorician. His duty was to explain the Holy Scriptures and compose instructive words on behalf of the patriarch.
