Louise May Alcott is an American writer, author of the famous novel Little Women, which brought her worldwide fame and the love of readers. To this day, the book remains one of the most significant works of American literature. In 1875, Alcott published a touching story about a girl named Rose, who, after the death of her parents, found a new home in the large, friendly Campbell family. The writer could not part with the charming heroine (besides, the first book was a success) and a year later she wrote a sequel - the story “Rose in Bloom”. After a two-year journey, Rose returns to her homeland, where she finds herself in the center of close attention of numerous fans, from whom, according to her aunts, she is obliged to choose a husband. However, Rosa does not consider it necessary to rush to the wedding, valuing her independence and making promising plans to conquer high society. In this edition, the story “Rose in Bloom” is presented in a new wonderful translation by Alexandra Glebovskaya.
