The novel begins in a modern gray city. The events unfold around a lesbian girl who falls in love with the head of a youth sect - a guy named Julius. For his sake, the girl begins to visit his strange house, joins the company of city crazy people who perform magical rituals there in the evenings. The heroine is faced with a choice: not to change anything in her life, staying with her ex-girlfriend, continue to pursue Julius, or go to his girlfriend, Satire, who also reciprocates her feelings. As the girl tries to make a choice, she learns that Julius actually has some magical abilities, two his closest friends are considered dead, although they come to Julius’s house every day, and many of the sect members are just puppets in the hands of the Gray Cardinal. At one of the magical rituals, where the sectarians summon the dead Mary, the girl asks the corpse to grant her only wish, which sounds like this: “I want Julia.”
