The monograph is dedicated to the work of one of the prominent representatives of the Silver Age D.S. Merezhkovsky during the period of emigration (1920–1941). Based on the material of the philosophical prose of the last years of the writer’s life, his philosophical and artistic concept is analyzed, combining centuries-old cultural traditions, the absurdity of the modern “today” and the stamp of the personal drama of an exile who ended his days in a foreign land. The emigrant period of creativity of D.S. Merezhkovsky is recognized as self-sufficient and no less significant than the pre-revolutionary one. His philosophical concept is presented in the context of the world philosophical and literary tradition. For the first time, the emigrant work of the writer is considered within the framework of a single conceptual canvas, embodied in the form of a philosophical and biographical concept novel.
