This article contains a brief overview of the history of the development and production of anti-tank rifles (ATR) in the USSR. Most publications on this topic contain mainly information about the well-known anti-tank rifles of Degtyarev and Simonov, as well as the Rukavishnikov gun, which was put into service in 1939. Almost all authors give the only version of the removal of this anti-tank rifle from service in 1940, blaming the marshal for this Kulika. Archival materials help us see slightly different reasons. Since the author has not seen reliable published photographs of Rukavishnikov’s PTR, he wishes to correct this situation. Of interest, obviously, will also be photographs of some experimental anti-tank rifles and their production volumes by year and plant.[The text contains tables.]
