This manual consists of 22 lessons, including lesson vocabulary, commentary, introductory and training exercises, texts in English and Russian: newspaper, journalistic, texts of speeches and statements from domestic and foreign printed publications and other media. The manual is designed for students those studying socio-political (general) translation under the “Linguist, Translator” program in addition to literary and specialized translation, as well as those who would like to acquire practical skills in translating, summarizing and annotating socio-political texts.
