In the next issue of the “Polaris” series there is the first republication of the forgotten story of the artist, writer and art critic D. A. Pakhomov (1872–1924) “The First Artist”. Without claiming scientific authenticity, the author, using the example of the adventures of the brave hunter, artist and priest Kremin, shows in it the development of artistic creativity of Stone Age people. It was art, as stated in the book, that became the driving force of progress, social organization and, finally, religious ideas of primitive society.
