"Miracles are best heard after sunset - they travel far in the dark." It is for miracles that pilgrims from all over America come to the town of Bicho Raro. People are desperate to get a piece of magic and get rid of what torments them. But few people know that the saints themselves, the Soria cousins: Beatriz, Daniel and Joaquin, are no less in need of miracles than those pilgrims who come to them. Eighteen-year-old Beatrice rejects any feelings, living only by reason. Sixteen-year-old Joaquin dreams of music, but for now he only organizes underground radio broadcasts. Twenty-year-old Daniel forgives any weaknesses except his own. They all long for a miracle. But the miracles of Bicho Raro are not at all what you should hope for.
