Charles Fort is one of the pioneers in the study of the Unknown, perhaps the first among all who wrote about this subject, who tried to systematize various phenomena that official science calls “anomalous”. Fort's research is dismissed by many as "pseudoscience", but just as many people consider his research to be a bold attempt to look beyond the horizon of the generally accepted and to open mankind's eyes to amazing phenomena that official science is not able to explain. Fort was admired by people such as Theodore Dreiser and Oliver Wendell Holmes; many of Fort's conclusions, which at first seemed paradoxical, have been confirmed by the latest experiments (for example, the presence of fossil remains in meteorites). Charles Fort's books are ideal “food” for an inquisitive mind.
