Many years ago this book (1914 - 1922) was conceived in twenty Nodes, each one. In the course of continuous work since 1969, the material dictated differently. The center of gravity shifted to the February Revolution. Already “April of the Seventeenth” reveals a completely clear picture of the doom of the February regime - and there is no other decisively assembled dynamic force in Russia than the Bolsheviks: the October revolution has already loomed as inevitable since April. After April, the situation changes not qualitatively, but quantitatively. In addition, both the volume of what has been written and my age force me to interrupt the narrative. But for those subsequent Nodes, I still present to the reader a summary of the main events, which could not be skipped if written in detail.
