The author considers the moral relativism of the educated part of the population of Western Europe and America to be the main reason for the support of the enemies of Israel by the intellectual elite of the West. At the same time, events in recent years point to a renewed active rivalry between Islam and Christianity in the Mediterranean basin, bringing the moral dimension of religious affiliation to the fore. The second part is devoted to the living connection of modern Israel with its historical and religious status within our civilization and is accompanied by travel notes and drawings made with love as we got to know the country.
