The book, dedicated to the fate of one of the founders of Russian jazz, introduces many unique materials into scientific circulation. This includes biographical information about G. R. Terpilovsky, accompanied by a rich illustrative series. These are memories, letters, autographs of many musicians, such as Dmitry Shostakovich, Leonid Utesov, Oleg Lundstrem, Nikita Bogoslovsky, Yuri Saulsky... The collection includes an artistic and documentary story about the “last aristocrat of jazz” and chapters from a book written by the composer himself. His literary works, poems and critical essays are also being published for the first time.
