Former policewoman Mona Bright inherits her mother's house in a strange town called Wink, built around a long-closed physics laboratory, all of whose research was deeply classified. All her life, Mona thought her mother was crazy, but, bit by bit, collecting information about the family, she gradually realizes that her memories of childhood do not coincide much with reality. And the more she penetrates into the secrets of the past, the more she understands: this city is different from everything Mona has ever seen in this world.
