The “Mansion on Prechistenka” is to blame. When Maxim found out that his mother was selling this old painting, life in Klushino, near Moscow, turned from calm and sleepy into dangerous. Why are dubious people ready to do anything hunting for the painting of the unknown Alexander Berg? How is the image of an unremarkable house connected with the fate of the disappeared father, a lover of riddles, codes and hidden meanings? The 19-year-old hero, a journalism student, became interested in the picture only in order to write an educational report, and ended up being drawn into a detective story. And then he brought in his friends: quiet classmate Dima, energetic and self-confident Anya, as well as Christina, whom he met for the first time, although it seems as if he had always known her. They begin their investigation and quickly realize that it will lead them very, very far. The first novel in the adventure series “City of the Sun” reveals in Evgeniy Rudashevsky a man who is interested in literally everything in this world: art, nature, student life, human motives actions - whatever the young author writes about turns out to be informative and infectious. With each new book, Rudashevsky’s voice sounds more and more confident, and the action of the plot is more and more delicately intertwined with psychological depth. "City of Sun. Eyes of Death" continues the line set by the writer in the books "Solongo. The Mystery of the Lost Expedition" and "Insomnia": an adventure novel with a double bottom, the main characters of which are children who are truly encountering the world of adults for the first time. This encounter changes them. The reader cannot tear himself away, following the heroes.
