“In the spring of 1920, the centurion of Kolchak’s army, Dementy Mirobitsky, escaped from the Chelyabinsk prisoner of war camp, where white officers and rich people were kept. The search yielded nothing. Gubcheka opened a new case, but there was not a single completed sheet in it, except for the report of the escape. On the night of the escape, Mirobitsky managed to go beyond the outskirts of the city and get lost in the forest. Now he was slowly walking to the southeast, moving parallel to the highway leading to the Cossack village of Etkulskaya.”
