The killer himself is no less original. He sends pictures to the police in which he reports on impending crimes. Each murder is a show, a pre-planned mise-en-scène, the author of which always strictly fulfills his promises made on canvas. Each time, having the date, place or name of the victim, Scotland Yard is unable to prevent the tragedy. The detectives turn for help to Owen Burns, a talented detective with extraordinary deductive abilities and highly developed intuition. Owen, being a true esthete, admires the art of the criminal.
