The northern region became the second homeland of the writer and naturalist A. Onegov. For several years he lived in the Trans-Onezh taiga with fishermen, hunters, shepherds, made observations and wrote stories about abandoned forest villages, clear lakes, but most of all about animals - his four-legged and feathered neighbors.
