Richard Hopton talks in detail about the traditions and history of duels in different historical eras and in different countries, and not only in Europe - in England, France, Russia and Germany, but also in the USA, where in the days of the Wild West duels also took place, subject to strict rules and a unique code. There is no doubt that this book, written in excellent literary language, replete with many interesting quotes from various sources, will not leave readers indifferent.
