IX century. Viking Age. A time when hordes of ambitious adventurers left their native Scandinavia and went for prey to the coast of Europe. Among them were noble warriors and outcasts from society, pirates and great sailors. These people threatened the well-being of England, plundered and burned settlements and monasteries. Few of those who fought with them managed to survive. But the carpenter's apprentice, captured by the Vikings, did more than just survive. The leader of the Norwegians, Sigurd the Happy, believed that the gods had tied together the thread of their destinies, and not only gave the young man the name Raven, but also accepted him into the Viking brotherhood and turned him into an unsurpassed warrior.
