The era of Prohibition begins, and the Wild West becomes a distant memory. The legendary "Marshal of the Frontier" Wyatt Earp barely makes ends meet working as a private detective in Los Angeles. To help the son of the late Doc Holiday, Wyatt goes to the East, where his former deputy Bat Masterson has by that time become one of the best sports journalists in New York. Wyatt and Beth encounter a new breed of bad guys - gangsters from Brooklyn, led by the young and cruel Alfonso Capone, who is trying to take over the illegal tavern that young Holiday has just opened. The twenties roar, Tommy guns rumble, and lawless law enforcement officers enter the glittering world of show business stars and nightclubs, gangsters and gamblers, where their star may well be declining, and the star of the young Al Capone is only just rising.
