The two-volume “Tunguska Mysteries” brings together early science fiction works dedicated to the mystery of the Tunguska meteorite. The first volume of the publication includes the novel by the Ukrainian writer I. Kovtun (1906–1937) “Asian aerolite" (1931) is the first work in Soviet science fiction about the Tunguska meteorite. The novel by I. Kovtun, who died untimely during the years of Stalinist repression, is translated into Russian for the first time.
