What was typical for most regions of at least the Central European part of the RSFSR in the 60s of the 20th century? Considerable distance from the industrially and socio-culturally developed centers of the regions, as well as the predominantly agricultural orientation of their economy with insufficient development of industry, social services and housing and communal services. This book describes how one of these typical districts, the Taldomsky district of the Moscow region, was transformed, and what role in this belonged to the regional organization of the CPSU, the first secretary of the district committee of which Vasily Sergeevich Frolov worked in January 1965 - March 1967. .
