A collection of dramatic texts is always a reason to sum up the author’s creative path. These days there are more such occasions, and not all of them are joyful. At the time of the publication of this collection, playwright Svetlana Petriychuk is under investigation for one of the most absurd trials of our time - the so-called “new theater case.” Svetlana and director Zhenya Berkovich are accused of justifying terrorism for staging the play “Finist - the Clear Falcon.”

The play “Tuaregs” that gives the collection its name is a programmatic work by Svetlana Petriychuk. The play uses the technique of combining incompatible things. The life of the women who rebelled against the male state in the village of Otrub is intertwined with the legends and tales of the Tuareg tribe, which in ancient times came to the idea of matriarchy.
