Memories of a unique singer, a genius, a performer of Russian folk songs, Nadezhda Plevitskaya-Vinnikova, who managed to rise at the beginning of the twentieth century from rural round dances to the metropolitan stage, to become the favorite singer of Emperor Nicholas II and the prima of the St. Petersburg stage. Resounding success, fans, dizzying romances - all this was in Plevitskaya’s life, but she remained faithful to her native village and family circle forever. The revolution changed a lot - Nadezhda Plevitskaya with her husband, the white general Nikolai Skoblin, ended up in exile, but even there, thanks to her talent, great success awaited her, tours of European capitals, crowds of admirers - former, from the Russian Empire, and new... Therefore, a real explosion for the Parisian society turned out to be the arrest of the famous singer for... espionage for the USSR. She could not forget her homeland and abandon it. In her memoirs, published in exile, Nadezhda Plevitskaya spoke with humor and warmth about her path to the big stage, her home, mother, loved ones, meetings with the emperor and his family, the First World War , which became the beginning of all troubles and losses... But the singer’s agent work remained outside the scope of the narrative. The publishing design was preserved in PDF A4 format.
