The first monograph on the work of Lydia Masterkova (1927–2008), one of the few female artists of the unofficial artistic environment of the late 60s - mid-70s, written by an art critic and her niece Margarita Masterkova-Tupitsyna. The book covers the Soviet and foreign periods of Lydia’s work, starting with her decision to enter the path of the “rare and dangerous profession” of an alternative artist in 1943 and ending with painting and graphic series of the early 2000s. This edition publishes for the first time unique photographs and letters from Lydia Masterkova to Margarita Masterkova-Tupitsyna and Viktor Agamov-Tupitsyn, written during the period of emigration and before the collapse of the Soviet Union. The publishing design is preserved in PDF A4 format.
