Pier Ambrosio Curti (years of life not established) is an Italian writer, a master of historical storytelling, who testified with his works a deep knowledge of ancient Roman life. In the novel “Under the Ruins of Pompeii,” the ending of which is published in the second volume of this publication, the artist’s living brush draws a picture of Roman society in the most interesting and instructive period of Roman history from a historical point of view - in the era of the “divine” Emperor Augustus.
