Modern astrophysics is a rapidly developing science that uses the latest (and very expensive) instruments and supercomputers. This leads to a huge stream of results: exoplanets and dark energy, gravitational waves and the first close-up images of Pluto. As a result, the astronomical picture of the world is constantly changing. However, many of the fundamental features of this picture have already taken shape. We know that we live in an expanding universe whose age is just under 14 billion years. We know how the nuclei of the elements were and are being formed. We can observe different stages of the formation of stars and planetary systems. It is even possible to see how planets are formed in the disks around stars. However, many questions and mysteries remain. What is dark matter and dark energy? How do different types of supernovae explode? How do black holes work? Finally, is there still life in the Universe, and what kind of life could it be?
